Hannah Corwin is a portrait photographer from London, England. With nine years experience in photography, she started her career as a portrait photographer, pursuing a career in London’s fashion industry. Currently based in Nashville, TN, she regularly works with some of the industry’s biggest music labels and artists. She is passionate and enthusiastic about delivering the highest level of work possible for each subject by researching and referencing through new and old styles.
She later received an opportunity to work with a well established photographer, becoming his Digital Assistant for three years. She worked with brands such as; Chanel, Thierry Mugler, Gucci and Lancome and on editorials for Love, i:D, British, Italian, Chinese and Japanese Vogue.
During this season of assisting, Hannah had the opportunity to visit Uganda, Africa. She met women who were living through war, rape, traumatic childbirth, the murder of loved ones, mutilation and more, yet their lives had been sown back together through God’s love and restorative power.
She sat in Uganda on a very questionable bus asking God, “Why? Why are people not hearing or seeing these stories of hope, restoration and redemption?” She sensed that even as she uttered those words, God was working.
At that moment, But God was birthed. “So go tell them. Capture my work in everyone, from the faceless to the famous, from the rich to the poor. These are my stories of hope.” He then showed Hannah a book. As the pages turned, she saw one side held photographs of every gender, race, age and culture, and on the other side was their written testimony. Hannah believes in telling the story behind every image and building a relationship with each subject she meets.
